Andrew Dexel (Enpaauk)

Andrew is a young artist from the Nlakapamux Nation. He began working as a graffiti artist and moved to limited edition prints and originals in 2006. His work has been featured in Blood Lines, Redwire and Brunt Magazine. In 2009, Andrew had his first solo show at Vancouver’s Grunt Gallery, titled Gratitude. This same year, he painted a 7 1/2-foot fiberglass sculpture for Vancouver’s Eagles in the City public art project. He enjoys using bold, unconventional colours and abstract elements in his compositions. Recently, Andrew has started to create wooden jewellery based on Salish design.
